Cascade Juniper

Here is a before and after of a Juniper procumbens nana. This tree has had a rough time for some time and deserves a bit of pampering. There is a lot of dead foliage that had to be removed. The idea is now to feed it and allow to grow for the pads to show some substance. There are some deadwood that will be jinned later in the year. The live vein is healthy and the hope is that the tree will react so some love and care.
Lindsay Muirhead recently visited the Manawatu Bonsai Association and entertained the members with a demonstration on a Juniper. The rest of the afternoon was spent answering questions and giving advice on member's trees.
